Tub-to-Shower Conversion

No room in a home poses a greater safety threat for people with limited mobility than the bathroom. Statistics show that “slip and fall” accidents, particularly when entering and exiting the bathtub, account for nearly 25% of the hospital admissions for people who are 65 or older!

Michael’s Resurfacing LLC offers a solution to the problem with their Tub-to-Shower Conversion…a brilliant way to help prevent “slip and fall” accidents and greatly improve bathing safety. The Tub-to-Shower conversion creates a custom opening in an existing bathtub in just one day, whether the tub is fiberglass steel or cast-iron fiberglass or steel.

The Tub-to-shower conversion costs just a fraction of a walk-in bathtub. The inconvenience and expense of removing walls, tearing out the old tub and doing extensive plumbing modification (the norm with walk-in tubs) could take several days and cost thousands of dollars. All of that is completely unnecessary with an affordable Tub-to-Shower conversion.

With a walk-in tub the bather must sit in the tub while it fills (using a great deal of water) then, after bathing, they must also sit in the tub while it empties completely. With a Tub-to-Shower conversion, the bather simply steps through the opening to enjoy a refreshing shower. And While creating a Tub-to-shower conversion, Michael’s experienced technician can also install safety grab bars and apply a slip resistant surface to the floor of the tub to provide even greater bathing safety.
